If anyone is in any doubt about the motives and intentions of the Quilliam foundation towards the EDL and what they intended and still intend to use Tommy Robinson and those who left with him for then read this letter from Maajid Nawaz of Quilliam.
There is no doubt in my mind and there should no longer be any doubt in anyones mind and this once again makes it crystal clear that the Quilliam foundation has little interest in stopping muslim extremism and is solely working towards destroying the EDL.
Nothing more and nothing less, while you may feel sorry for Tommy Robinson because of the position he has now put himself in because of his own naivety do not fool yourself into thinking that offering support to him is not hastening the demise of the EDL and all opposition to muslim extremism and the Islamization of Britain because that is exactly what he and others are being used for by Quilliam.

Dear Lord Chancellor,
I write to highlight the situation of Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, currently incarcerated in HMP Woodhill. We are concerned for his well being following reports of physical violence against him by other prisoners ( No mention of the fact that they were muslim prisoners ) while in the holding bay following a legal visit. I ask if his situation may be reviewed given the physical threat against him, ( Once again no mention that the threat is from muslims ) heightened because of his high profile and former affiliations to the English Defence League (EDL).
Having facilitated Stephen’s departure from the EDL in 2013, ( In their own words " Beheaded the EDL " ) we continued to provide support and training for him, address his grievances, and tackle the ideology and narrative of extremism ( No mention of muslim extremism just a suggestion of the EDL being extremists ) up to the point of his sentencing. We did this in the interests of community cohesion ( Suggesting the EDL are the cause of bad community cohesion and once again no mention of muslim extremism ) as we recognized his importance to the EDL, believe Britain is safer without the group, ( We are working to destroy the EDL ) and identify that a peaceful, human-rights based civil society approach is the best way to counter extremism of all kinds. ( Once again suggesting that the EDL are extremists and not mentioning muslim extremism in any way )However, we recognize that the process with Stephen, with the EDL, and with extremism ( Again calling the EDL extremists ) in general is yet to be completed. ( We have not yet be able to completely destroy the EDL )
Given the short time frame between Stephen’s departure from the EDL and his incarceration for an unrelated criminal offence, he is still associated with his former views and affiliated to the group he used to lead in the public consciousness. For this reason, he is particularly vulnerable to physical violence from fellow prisoners. ( No mention again that physical violence will come from muslims ) Likewise, we feel that he is ideologically vulnerable as his perceived grievances against the state and against his attackers could increase. ( Please look after him we need to use him more to destroy the EDL ) Moreover, should the physical violence against him escalate and he were murdered, ( By muslims ) we fear a nationwide sectarian and violent response from his supporters. (Suggesting the EDL are violent extremists )
We believe that all prisoners are owed a duty of care, which, in Stephen’s case, may not be sufficiently upheld if he continues to be treated in the current way. ( We need him to continue our work in destroying the EDL ) Moreover, we think that leaving an extremist organization ( Calling the EDL an extremist organization again ) should not go unsupported and think that HMP Woodhill should make provision in Stephen’s case not to do more harm than good ( If he gets a good kicking from muslims in prison he may go back to the EDL ) as part of its general rehabilitative responsibilities. Finally, it is in the public interest and in the interest of national social cohesion ( Again no mention of muslim extremism being responsible for damage done to national social cohesion ) that Stephen’s rehabilitation and move away from the EDL is allowed to continue throughout his incarceration and beyond. ( Again we need to use him further to bring an end to the EDL )

If you can not see the intentions of this group then I can not help you and if you still think that supporting Tommy Robinson now is not damaging the EDL the fight against muslim terrorism, pedophile gangs, the burka and all forms of the Islamization of this country then again I can not help you.
Pity is understandable but in this case it is not wise because pity is being used to destroy the EDL.
